Where appropriate, I will:

Inspect the external hard drive.
Carefully open the enclosure.
Remove the internal storage device.
Connect it using compatible hardware and adapters.
Attempt to gain access to your files.

This service is intended for situations where the external enclosure or interface has failed or where compatibility issues prevent normal access.

If successful, you can immediately copy your files to another storage device that you provide.

The initial £40 inspection fee is included in this price, meaning you pay an additional £95 only if the recovery is successful.

If the internal drive is damaged

If testing indicates that the internal hard drive itself has failed and your data cannot be accessed using this service:

No further charges are made.
You pay only the £40 inspection fee.
The drive and enclosure are left with you.

Important Disclaimer

Many external hard drive enclosures are manufactured as sealed units and are not designed to be opened or repaired. Accessing the internal drive often requires the enclosure to be dismantled, which may permanently damage or destroy the original casing.

By requesting this service, you acknowledge and accept that:

The enclosure may need to be opened using non-reversible methods.
The original enclosure may not be reusable after inspection.
The objective of the service is to gain access to the data stored on the internal drive, not to preserve the external casing.
While every reasonable effort will be made to access your files, no guarantee of successful recovery can be given.
If the internal hard drive itself has suffered physical or electronic failure, specialist laboratory recovery may be required and is outside the scope of this service.
